Table Chairs:

I reupholstered our eat-in-kitchen chairs using a fabric by Waverly called "Tahiti" featuring palm trees to match the table rug and give the room a Floridian feel. All four chairs were finished off with matching cording around the edges.

Matching Sofa Pillows:

I carried the Floridian theme to the great room and made matching sofa pillows from the same Waverly "Tahiti" fabric and added a dark brown fringe around the edges. I finished all pillows with a zipper at the back base for easy removal and cleaning.

Bird-Of-Paradise Pillows:

I made some nice big fluffy trapunto lounging pillows in shades of tan and browns using Bird-of-Paradise fabric with contrasting fringe. I then stitched the large Floridian leaves around the outside, as well as, the center vein, and stuffed with batting to give a 3D effect. As always, I finished the pillows with a zipper at the back base for easy removal and cleaning.

Island Bar Stools:

Around the island bar, I reupholstered two stools using another Floridian fabric. This was a very easy project, just cut two squares, tuck, and staple!

Shower Curtain:

In the guest bathroom, I made a shower curtain from an exclusive "York" design called "Lily Ballet." The fabric features calla lilies on a yellow background and matches the wallpaper. Accurate cutting and button holes was the key to making this perfect curtain.

Office Valance:

In my office studio, I made a gorious window treatment using three wide valance panels in pinks, greens, yellow, and white featuring flowers and stripes. The jabots are lined using a dark green contrasting fabric to add depth. (The shears in dark green and white were bought!)

Guest Bedroom:

I decorated the guest bedroom with white furniture and soft blues, greens, and yellows to give it a relaxing "cottage-on-the-lake" feeling. I used fabric by Arnetex for the matching bedspread, shams, and window valances. The bedspread is lined with a soft green and yellow cording around three of the edges.

Guest Bedroom Window Treatments:

Please excuse the camera flash! I used two valance panels for each window and the jabots were lined with a soft yellow fabric.

Guest Bedroom:

The shams are decorated with a med. blue and green embroidery motif around all edges. I am sorry you cannot view the embroidery, but will try to correct in the future.

Guest Bedroom:

A large collection of pillows, in various shapes, sizes, and techniques, were created to add interest and finish off the room. And, as always, all pillows are complete with zipper or buttons for easy removal and cleaning.
